Halo Conferences and Events have celebrated a triple success at the 2016 Stadium & Events Hospitality Awards.
The event, which was held at Coventry City’s Ricoh Arena, recognised the efforts and dedication shown by the catering, conference and events teams at football and rugby grounds across the country.
Halo, who are the official hospitality suppliers to Southampton Football Club, enjoyed a night to remember, with three honours coming their way.
Under the lead of Head Chef Ayrton Proctor, they took home the Silver Chef Team of the Year Award, 12 months on from picking up the bronze prize.
It was a demanding process, involving a cook-off against ten other teams to determine the winner.
Ayrton, who has been working at St Mary’s for six years, said: “I was really chuffed. I always thought we had a good chance of at least getting in the top three. It was bronze last year and silver this year, so the aim is gold next year.”
Also celebrating were Alex Mostyn and Jess Phippard, who were both among the Star of the Future Award successes, after being nominated by Halo’s Head of Sales and Events Planning, Samantha McGrath.
Jess, who has been at the club for two years, said: "It was just so humbling and such a great experience. There's only seven people nominated, so for us to be two of those seven was a really great achievement.”
Alex, who works as Event Planning Executive, added: "We were really pleased, especially as we started together on the same day, so it was great to go up and both be recognised for what we're achieving here."
